A view from...
a new home (well almost!)
During our Pastoral Vacancy different members of our church and congregation will be writing the letter that Pastor Martin would have written for News and Views.
We said our ‘Farewells’ to Pastor Martin and Bobbie a few days before they moved up to Norton Baptist Church near Stockton on Tees. We pray God will bless their Ministry there and help them settle quickly into their new home, church and area.
For us as a church there are many opportunities to invite people we know to our church for all of the Christmas services, the concert by Alcester Mail Voice Choir, the large Advent Calendar we take around to various places and the visit to our individual homes of the Advent travellers.
As we look ahead to celebrating the birth of our saviour and next year 2020 how are we feeling?
In 2020 our church will be celebrating the 380 Anniversary in May. We will be having many different people leading our worship on a Sunday and there will be extra meetings to go to as we look ahead to the future Pastor of the church here in Alcester. Already folk have been asking ‘How can I help?’ Please offer if you see something you could help with or suggest something new we could do.
We are a family of God’s people here in this place and the whole family needs to be involved in the witness and life of the church.
We go forward in the strength of our Lord and Saviour as we remember the words of the prophet Jeremiah.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a
future. Then you will call upon me, and I will listen to you.”
Chapter 29 verses 11-12.
May God bless you in whatever situation you find yourself and may you know His loving arms supporting you and helping you.
With my love and prayers
